Jeanne Marie Tripplehorn was born in America. She is a professional actress who has worked professionally for 27 years. A gifted thespian she is active in the professional world for the last 27 years. She made her acting debut on stage with an off Broadway production The Big Funk by John Patrick Shanley in 1990. The following year, she was offered her first role on TV in The Perfect Tribute. Her breakthrough in her career came about in 1992 when she acted as a support character in the film Basic Instinct. The Firm is where she began her career as the female lead alongside Tom Cruise & Gene Hackman. In the 1990s, Gwyneth collaborated together with Hugh Grant on Mickey Blue Eyes as well as Julie Andrews for Relative Values. Recenty, she played Dr Alex Blake (a police procedural-crime drama) in Criminal Minds.
